Three persons, lodged in jail for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl, were also booked under Gangster act following the suicide of victim in Rasoolpur village here, police said today.
The accused were also booked under Gangster act after the girl committed suicide on May 21, Circle Officer Mukesh Mishra said.
The girl, who was raped on April 19 by three persons, committed suicide on May 21 after her family was allegedly being pressurised by the accused to withdraw the case, he said.
The three accused-Mayank, son of a police constable, Ajai, brother of a constable, and Pankaj were arrested in this connection and are in jail.
