Three sentenced to life in double murder case

A fast track court here today sentenced three persons to life imprisonment in a December 2011 double murder case.

Promila Tiwari, a resident of Panchkula, was murdered by her caretaker Jaivir with the help of Rambir and Ashok.

Promila's driver Gurvinder, who had seen them committing the crime, was also killed by them. They threw his body near a railway track close to Panchkula.

Later, Promila's body was recovered from an abandoned car near Panchkula-Morni road.

A case was registered against the accused following which Jaivir was arrested by the railway police. During interrogation, he revealed about the involvement of the other two accused in the crime.
