Three workers were killed and seven injured in a road accident at Baihata Chariali in Assam's Kamrup district in the wee hours today.
The labourers were travelling in a mini truck from Kharupetia to Barpeta when a speeding truck hit the vehcile from behind killing the three on the spot, police said.
The injured were admitted to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.
The deceased have been identified as Ali Hussain, Akkel Ali and Sadek Ali of Barpeta, they added.
