Tin and nickle ease on reduced demand

Tin and nickle prices eased at the non-ferrous metal market here today on selling by stockists amid reduced demand from alloy industries.

While, copper and brass prices moved up due to good offtake from consuming industries.

In overseas markets, London copper was trading flat in early trade ahead of options expiry later in the session, while traders bet on near-term downside, given spluttering global growth momentum.

Tin dipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,210 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,215 and nickle slid by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 985 as against to Rs 988.

Copper scrap heavy softened by a Re per kg to Rs 445 from Rs 446.
 

However, copper sheet cuttings and brass sheets cuttings rose by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 430 and Rs 325 from Rs 428 and Rs 323 previously.

Copper armiture, copper utensils scrap and brass utensils scrap inched up each to Rs 435 (per kg), Rs 408 (per kg) and Rs 316 (per kg), respectively.
