Tin gains on lacklustre trade, global cues

Tin prices gained in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metals market here today due to buying by stockists amid good demand from alloy industries.
Globally, the industrial metal copper declined range-bound in early Asian trade on lower Chinese industrial data.
Tin rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,150 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,145, while, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and brass sheet cutting inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 374, Rs 369 and Rs 281, respectively.
However, zinc edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 137 from its previous level of Rs 139, while lead and brass utensil scrap softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 123 and Rs 274, respectively.
