West Bengal Panchayat Minister Subrata Mukherjee held a meeting with leaders of ruling Trinamool Congress trade unions today to control factional fighting.
Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee had formed a core committe led by Subrata Mukherjee to check factional disputes between various groups of INTTUC, the party's trade union.
Mukherjee told newsmen that in the meeting, attended by Industry Minister Amit Mitra and top INTTUC leaders, it was conveyed that TMC will have only
one union in every industrial unit.
"Various factions and unions under the name of INTTUC won't be tolerated," he said.
Asked how factional fighting would be controlled, Mukherjee said "My leader has given me the full authority to solve this problem. We will try to solve the matter through dialogue and make sure that only one unit exist."
The concerned local administration will also be informed about that official unit of the party, he added.
