Top civic board officer sent to jail

Executive Officer of municipal board here, who was booked for attempt to murder two days ago after he allegedly took out his revolver and threatened some Samajwadi Party workers, was sent to jail by a court here.

Chief Judicial Magistrate RP Pandey yesterday rejected the bail and sent Dhurinder Singh to jail.

The top city municipal board officer was booked on February 22 after he allegedly threatened the ruling SP workers, who according to him were threatening him.

According to the FIR registered at Milak police station, Singh took out his revolver and threatened the SP workers who had come to complain about the some developmental work.
 

However, the advocate pleading EO's case has submitted that he was attacked and injured by the supporters of an SP MLA in his presence.

The lawyer also alleged that the injured officer was sent to jail without getting medical treatment.
