Tribal man shot dead by unidentified miscreants

A 42-year-old tribal man was shot dead by unidentified miscreants near Pabitra Bazar, in Udaipur sub-division of Gomati district, police said today.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Udaipur, Rajendra Datta said the deceased was identified as Gahur Hari Molsom, who had a confectionery shop in the Pabitra Bazar.

Datta said, police recovered his bullet riddled body from a road this morning after villagers informed them that the body was lying in a pool of blood.

BJP MLA Pranajit Singha Roy visited the area and claimed that the deceased was an activist of their party and convener of a booth committee in 30 Bagma assembly constituency.
