Tributes paid to J P Narayan on his birth anniversary

'Loknayak' Jayaprakash Narayan was today remembered here on his 113th birth anniversary.

Politicians and social activists paid rich tributes to Nararayan. Especially, those who had participated in his 'Sampark Kranthi' movement in 1970s and later were arrested during emergency in 1975 fondly remembered him.

They garlanded Narayan's statue near Kalakshetram area in the city.

MP's Kesineni Srinivas, Gokaraju Ganga Raju, MLC B Venkanna, Freedom fighter Vamana Rao and others attended the function.
