Gold worth Rs 62 lakh recovered at Jaipur airport

Over 2 kg gold worth Rs 62 lakh was recovered from a 26-year-old woman lakh at Jaipur International airport here today.

The woman was on her way from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai via Jaipur when her luggage was checked by Customs officials after which they found the gold hidden in the transformer of the microwave oven this morning, an official said.

The woman is being interrogated at the airport and gold would be seized after due process of legal action, the Customs official added.
