Tripathi condoles death of Army officers

West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi today expressed heartfelt condolences at the death of three Army officers in a helicopter crash during landing at the Sukna Military Cantonment in the Darjeeling district.

Tripathi also wished speedy recovery of the injured junior Commissioned Officer, who was also on board.

The Governor conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family of the deceased.

Three army personnel including two pilots died on Wednesday when an Army helicopter crashed while landing at the Sukna cantonment in Darjeeling district, 15 km from Siliguri, the largest town in north Bengal yesterday.

According to senior army officials posted at Sukna, the helicopter with two pilots and two passengers (army personnel) crashed moments before landing just 50 meters away from the Sukna army helipad.
