Trump says would 'certainly' invite Putin to next year's G7

President Donald Trump said Monday he would invite Russian President Vladimir Putin when the US hosts the G7 summit next year, despite Moscow's exclusion from the club over its 2014 annexation of Crimea from Ukraine.

"I'd certainly invite him," Trump said at a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron as the G7 summit in Biarritz wound down.

"Whether he could come or not, psychologically, I think that's a tough thing to do," Trump added. "He's a proud person.
