Official sources said Gen Singh has assured Tuki of his commitment to the proposal.
The Army Chief had already accepted the proposal in principle during his last meet with the chief minister over lunch in Itanagar.
During the meeting, sources said the CM also emphasised on improving connectivity in the border areas of the state.
He impressed upon the General that connectivity was urgently needed not only in the field of surface communication but also air connectivity as well as tele-communication.
Prospects in civic action programmes like Operation Sadbhavana, creation of infrastructure like community halls, playgrounds and education and health services were discussed in detail where the Army can play a major role.
Pointing to the sluggish progress of road projects by BRO in the state, particularly in strategic border locations, Tuki urged the Army Chief to intervene and make the BRO work to the expectations of the people. (MORE)
