Two Army jawan dies in J-K as their vehicle falls into gorge

Two Army jawans died today when the vehicle they were travelling in fell into a gorge at Mendhar Tehsil of the frontier Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

"We got reports that an Army vehicle fell into a 100 metre deep gorge in Dharma area of the Mendhar Tehsil in which two Army jawans lost their lives," a police official said.

Local residents rushed to the rescue and recovered the bodies of the soldiers from the gorge, he said.
