Two arrested for posing as traffic cops

Two youths were today arrested for posing as traffic police personnel and conducting vehicle checks near here, police said.

The duo had stopped vehicles this morning at Aattaiampatti bypass on the Coimbatore-Chennai national highway and asked drivers to produced documents but fled on seeing a police patrol team, they said.

They were arrested after a chase for some distance, police said.
