Two children drown in pond in UP

Two children today drowned in a pond in Haldirampur village in Ubhao area here, police said.

Deepak (7) and Pawan (8) drowned while taking bath in the pond this afternoon after they slipped into deep water, SP KC Goswami said.

The bodies were later fished out from the pond with the help of locals, he said.

The matter is being probed, Goswami said.
