Two suspected drug peddlers were today arrested and one kg of charas was seized from them in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
A police party intercepted a cab during vehicle checking at Bijbehara, 42 kms from here on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway, and recovered one kilogram of charas, a police spokesman said.
Two persons identified as Mohammad Iqbal Hajam and Mohammad Sultan Lohar, residents of Gool Gulkabgarh in Jammu region, who were boarding the vehicle were taken into custody, he said.
A has been registered a case against the duo in this connection and further investigations are on.
