Two eve-teasers held for death of a girl

Two youths were arrested today in connection with the death of a minor girl after her decomposed body was recovered from a pond at Khaichuan in Kalahandi district.

The 14-year-old girl had gone missing on February 19 and her body was recovered yesterday, police said.

Superintendent of Police, Kalahandi Brijesh Rai said that the girl had earlier been a victim of eve-teasing by two youths and she informed her parents about them. Both the youths were arrested.

The post mortum report revealed that the girl was strangulated to death, he said.
