An uncle-nephew duo was today arrested from the city and 1.5 kg gold ornaments were recovered from them, police said.
The arrest was made in connection with the theft of three kilograms of gold ornaments from the city-based jewellers six years ago, police said.
"We have arrested Sheikh Muzammil alias Badshah and his nephew, Mabood from two different places in the city. They belong to West Bengal," Additional SP Amrendra Singh said.

"They were arrested in connection with a six-year-old theft of three kg gold ornaments belonging to the city-based jewellers," police said.
After collecting the ornaments from jewellers for polishing and other work, the duo had escaped to West Bengal.
So far, 1.5 kg gold has been recovered, police said adding that efforts were on to get the remaining yellow metal from the duo.
