Two Kashmiri students thrashed in Ghaziabad

Two Kashmiri students of a private institute were allegedly thrashed by six youths following which an FIR has been registered against the accused, police said.

Rahil (22) and Farheen (21), natives of Srinagar, who were studying at a private institute at Modinagar had yesterday come to a college in Duhai to appear in an exam, SHO Murad Nagar Subodh Saxena said.

After their exam they were waiting for an auto near Asalat Nagar at NH-58 when six youths, including Rahil's classmate Lawrence, came in car.

They thrashed Rahil and also beat up Farheen when he tried to intervene, police said.
 

Rahil and Lawrence reportedly had a few heated arguments prior to this incident too, police said.

Murad Nagar police have lodged an FIR against Lawrence and five unknown persons, police said, adding, a search is underway for the accused.
