Two persons held with over 1 kg of cannabis in Ramban

Two persons were arrested with over one kg of cannabis in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

Sijad Ahmed alias Bittu and Gohar Ahmed Wani were intercepted on J-K highway at Meehar of Ramban district last night, police said, adding 1 kg and 150 grams of cannabis was seized from them.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that they were in this business for the past decade and used to supply the drug to youths of Ramban.

A case has been registered in this regard, police said.
