Two robbers held

Two alleged robbers were arrested in the Indirapuram area here with police claiming that the duo was part of a gang which was active in the Delhi-NCR region.

Police recovered two vans, a country-made pistol, two live cartridges and a knife from the accused, identified as Arvind and Jitendra, who were arrested late last night following a tip-off.

"A trap was laid to nab the duo after we received a tip- off that they were to come near the Vasundra T-point... They have confessed to their involvement in a number of crimes," said a police officer.

Arvind and Jitendra were members of a gang which would rob people at gunpoint in Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad, police said.
 

"They are now being interrogated about their accomplices," the officer added.
