Two students arrested for killing Dalit farmer

Police has claimed to solve the Dalit farmer murder case by arresting two students at Bhanera village under Kandhla police station in the district, the police said here.

Dalit farmer Umrao Singh was allegedly stoned to death and his buffalo stolen at Bhanera village in Shamli district on December 1, SHO Pankaj Verma.

Ballodevi, the wife of deceased Umrao Singh, had lodged an FIR against unidentified miscreants in this connection.

During investigation, police arrested two students, who confessed that they murdered Umrao Singh when he resisted them from stealing his buffalo. The stolen buffalo was also recovered from their possession.
 

Police succeeded to nab them when they intercepted a truck in which the buffalo was being carried for selling.
