Two Tel cops suspended for 'maligning' department image
The Telangana government today suspended two police officials for allegedly "maligning" the image of the department with their acts.
The suspended officials included a woman Additional Superintendent of Police and Y Mallikharjuna Reddy, an Inspector at Kalwakurthy in Nagrakurnool district.
The woman officer's husband yesterday filed a complaint with the Cyberabad Police claiming that she was having an affair with Reddy.

A statement issued by the State Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy stated that the two officials are suspended.
The woman officer is currently working as an additional SP with the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
A case was registered against Reddy under sections 447 (criminal trespass) and 497 (adultery) of the IPC on the complaint of the woman officer's husband.
