Two women die in illegal mine collapse

Two women were buried alive and two others suffered injury while mining illegally in Rajhara colliery of Central Coalfied Limited in Palamu district today, the police said.

Two women identified as Sulekha Devi and Renu Devi (both residents of Padwa village) were buried alive when the shed of the colliery caved in, Police Superintendent Y S Ramesh, said.

Ramesh said the injured were rushed to District Hospital Medininagar, where the condition of one stated to be serious.
