U-19 I-League final round: Lajong FC to face Sesa FA

Shillong Lajong FC Junior (U-19) side, which emerged topper in the northeast leg of the Under-19 I-League, today left for Jamshedpur for the final rounds scheduled from Monday.

The Junior Reds topped the northeast round of the league after facing Royal Wahingdoh, Rangdajied United & Green Valley FC and remained undefeated throughout to qualify for the final round.

The city outfit will play Goa's Sesa Football Academy in their first match on Monday under the tutelage of head coach Alison Kharsyntiew.

The youngsters, who won the prestigious Golaghat Football tournament (Assam) Championship last year, will look to carry their incredible form in the final rounds too, Kharsyntiew said.
 

Squad: Goalkeepers: Nitin Meel, Kunzang Bhutia; Defenders: Nim Dorjee Tamang, Rojit Singh, Rupert Nongrum, Sandeep Singh, Jimmy Singh, Rakesh Pradhan, Dinesh Singh; Midfielders: Nabin Rabha, Hardy Cliff Nongbri, Prabal Deka, Lalrammuana, Angousana, Zodingliana Ralte, Ksankupar Khongmalai; Forwards: Shaiborlang Kharpan, Bipin Singh, Redeem Tlang, Shanbor Jyrwa.
