U'khand tragedy: Jharkhand Guv to give one month salary

Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed today announced to contribute his one month salary as assistance for the victims of Kedarnath in rain-ravaged Uttarakhand.

Ahmed also appealed to the government employees to contribute at least a day's salary as assistance to the victims, an official release quoting Chief Secretary R S Sharma said.

On Thursday, the eastern state had announced Rs five crore for relief and rescue purposes in Uttarakhand where over 600 people have died.
