Cyber crime cell of the city police today arrested a 28-year old man for slandering his former wife through the social media.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohamoud Khan said the accused Dr Mohamamd Tajmmul Akthar married a few years ago, but his wife divorced him a year later, alleging harassment.
She then married another man and shifted here.

Akhtar, who is pursuing a post-graduate course in Unani medicine at Government Nizamia Tibbi College in Hyderabad, wanted to take revenge on her, so he created her fake facebook profile and posted some obscene comments and her morphed photographs, the DCP said.
The woman lodged a complaint. Police traced the IP address and arrested Akhtar in Hyderabad.
