An undertrial inmate of Malkangiri jail in Odisha who had been arrested on charges of involvement in Maoist activities allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself, police said.
The deceased, identified as Muka Padiami of Badigata village in Kalimela area of the naxal-hit district, was found hanging in the toilet this morning, Inspector In-Charge of Malkangiri police staton, R K Das said.
Investigation was on.
