Undertrial commits suicide in Bulandshahr jail

An undertrial accused of raping and murdering a two-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the district jail here today.

Raju (23) of Jatpura village had been in jail since May 2014, said Jail Superintendent V K Singh.

He hanged himself with a scarf, he said.

Singh said none of Raju's relatives has turned up to claim the body.
