A policeman was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants on Monday in the northwest Pakistan's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, police said.
Police constable Muhammad Nadeem, working as a Naib court, was on his way to join his duty when assailants opened fire on him near Zafarabad colony of Dera Ismail Khan district, they said.
A critically injured Nadeem was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
