Plying on a boat, Singh visited the 3.5 km-long border riverine areas of the district along Bangladesh and took stock of the situation.
Singh visited several "chowkis" of the BSF along the border and interacted with the BSF personnel and personally enquired about their well-being, BSF DIG D K Tripathy told PTI here.
The minister has assured that he will take up the matter with the Centre for completely sealing the riverine border to prevent influx from the neighbouring country, he said.
