UP Guv celebrates Diwali with Government Children Home inmates

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today celebrated Diwali with the inmates of Government Children Home at Raj Bhawan here.

The Governor and his wife Kunda Naik invited the children to visit Raj Bhawan and distributed gifts and sparkles to them, an official spokesperson said here.

He emphasized that efforts should be made to save the environment and said it was laudable that there was awareness towards it in the society and people make effort to celebrate pollution free Diwali.

Naik also met and extended greetings to senior officials and prominent personalities, including Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan, Chairman Revenue Board Anil Kumar Gupta, CIC Javed Usmani, Lokayukta N K Mehrotra, DGP Jagmohan Yadav and noted Urdu litterateur Anwar Jalalpuri.
