Two motorcycle-borne men were killed after being hit by a speeding jeep coming from the opposite direction in Kalpi area of the district on Sunday, police said.
Twenty-three-year-old Lalla Nishad died on the spot while Madan succumbed to injuries on the way to Kanpur where he was being taken for treatment, SHO of Sirsa Kalar Police Station Saurabh Singh said.
Due to the impact of the collision, the jeep driver lost control of the vehicle and it fell in a roadside ditch, however, he managed to escape from the spot, police said.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
