UP: Woman poisons her two kids, commits suicide

A 35-year-old woman allegedly poisoned her two young children before committing suicide in Basura village here today, police said.

Arti, consumed poison after giving it to her daughters, aged eight months and four years, they said.

Arti lived with her husband and in-laws and was believed to be of mentally disturbed, police said.

Investigation into the case was underway and the bodies were sent for post-mortem, they added.
