US astronaut Sunita Williams arrives at her native village

US astronaut Sunita Williams arrived at her native village of Jhulasan, in North Gujarat's Mehsana district today, to a rousing welcome.

Upon her arrival, a surprised Williams said, "Thank you very much for the grand welcome. Very happy to see family members and all my friends".

She was felicitated by the villagers on a grand scale. She also interacted with school students of the small village and visited a temple.

Williams will address a session on 'My Experiences in Space' at United World School of Business in Uvarsad village in Gandhinagar district tomorrow.

Williams (47) is in India on a week-long trip.
