V Shanmuganathan sworn in as Manipur Governor

V Shanmuganathan was sworn in as the Governor of Manipur today.

Meghalaya Governor Shanmuganathan would hold additional charge of Manipur following the death of incumbent Syed Ahmed.

Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur Justice Laxmi Kant Mahapatra administered the oath of office and secrecy to Shanmuganathan at a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan here.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, cabinet ministers and other senior officials of the state government and the police.
