Veteran Cong leader Sarla Sharma passes away

Veteran Congress leader and freedom fighter Sarla Sharma died this afternoon at Yol camp near Dharamsala.

She breathed her last at the house of her eldest daughter and former minister Viplov Thakur.

Sharma (91) is survived by three daughters Viplov, Savita and Meenakshi and a son, Nikhil Rajaol.

Her husband, Paras Ram, a senior CPI leader and former MLA had died few years back.

She would be cremated tomorrow.
