Village head, another person killed in road mishap

A village head along with another person was crushed to death by a speeding bus today.

The accident occurred at around 8.40 PM on the Gaura Chaura Itwa road here, police said.

Gram pradhan of Veerpur Kalan village Ghulam Rashool and one Ram Chandra were riding a motorcycle when the bus ran over them, a police official said, adding, they died on the spot.

A case has been registered and investigations are on, he said.
