Village head killed in road accident

A 40-year-old village head (pradhan) was killed today in a road accident here, police said.

According to police, Dharmendra Singh was going back home to Baratpur village when his car collided head-on with a truck coming from opposite direction.

Station House Officer (SHO) Imalia Sultanpur, Mulesh Yadav said that prima facie it appeared death due to head on collision, but exact cause of death would be known only after the post mortem report comes.

Meanwhile, Singh's family has alleged that his death was a murder.
