Watchman commits suicide after killing neighbour

A watchman allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself after killing a neighbour at Mariawala village under civil lines police station today, the police said.

According to police officials, last night Joginder Singh (55) allegedly beat up his 20-year-old son, an incident during which his neighbour Yogesh intervened.

Today morning, Singh went to Yogesh's house asking why he had intervened in his personal matter, the police said.

Singh later allegedly shot Yogesh dead with his licensed double barrel gun and came back to his house where he shot himself dead as well, according to the police.
