Khawlkungi (88), a well-known literary figure among the Mizos and a Padma Shree awardee died due to kidney failure today, family sources said.
Khawlkungi wrote many plays and fictions while she also translated a number of books from English to Mizo language.
She was awarded Padma Shree award in 1987 for her literary works.
