The wife of a popular TV actor and comedian Madurai Muthu today died after the car she was travelling in hit a roadside tree at Kottairuppu near here today, police said.
Lekha was on her way to a temple from Madurai when the driver lost control of the car as a tyre burst, leading the vehicle to hit the tree, police said.
She died on the spot, they said, adding the driver has been admitted to hospital with serious injuries.
