Restaurant chain operator Westlife Development today reported a consolidated net profit at Rs 23.25 lakh in the quarter ended December 31, 2015.
The company, which operates McDonald's restaurants in West and South markets through its subsidiary Hardcastle Restaurants, had reported a loss of Rs 4.69 crore in the same quarter a year-ago, Westlife Development said in a BSE filing.
Company's net sales on consolidated basis during the October-December period were up 8.17 per cent to Rs 210.28 crore as against Rs 194.38 crore in same quarter of the last fiscal.
Commenting on the result, Westlife Development Vice Chairman Amit Jatia said: "During the quarter, we continued to invest in strengthening the brand, uniting consumer insights with innovation, drive in market execution and operational efficiencies even harder."
Shares of the company today closed 1.83 per cent up at Rs 222.00 per scrip on BSE.
