: A 45-day white water river rafting cum recee, organized by the Arunachal Adventure Association (AAA) in collaboration with department of Tourism, ended yesterday at Pasighat in East Siang district.
In the last leg, the team conducted rafting expedition cum recee from Mechukha to Pasighat passing through river Yargap Chu, Siyom (Yomgo) and Siang.
The expedition was followed by a five-day basic course training on white water river rafting, held at Pasighat which was participated by the local youths of East and West Siang districts including girls.

The venue for the training was at Raneghat on the bank of river Siang.
The programme began on March 28 last at Seppa in East Kameng district with advance course imparted to the local youths, followed by expedition cum recee over river Kameng from Marjingla to Bhalukpong.
In the second leg, the youths of Daporijo were given basic course on white water river rafting.
The training was followed by expedition cum recee over river Subansiri from Sippi (Daporijo) to Gerukamukh.
AAA chairman Chukhu Mama expressed satisfaction over the completion of event.
"It has been a great learning experience for all of us. We managed to impart both basic as well advance course to many local youths of Upper Subansiri, East Kameng, West Siang and East Siang districts.
This pool of youth if groomed properly can become river guide in the future and it will open up doors of employment generation," felt Mama.
