A woman has accused a youth and his accomplices of raping and blackmailing her for the past five years, police said today.
A FIR has been lodged against Ashif and his three friends for raping a 29-year-old woman for the past five years after he threatened to distribute a video clip purportedly showing her in an obscene act, they said.
The woman, who has separated from her husband, lodged a complaint with Brahampuri police station yesterday following which a case under various sections of IPC including 376 for rape was registered against the accused men.
She alleged that Ashif first raped her five years ago when she came in contact with him at a slimming centre in the city, where she was employed, took a video clip of the act and subsequently threatened her of making it public, police said.
Ashif's other friends Ramawtar, Tarachand and Ajay, also sexually abused her over the years, the woman revealed during preliminary investigations.
The accused Ashif, who is employed at his relative's hotel used to take the victim at different places and make video clips of the act, the police said.
On June 1, when she refused to accompany him, Ashif verbally abused her, they said.
Police has detained Ramawatar, Tarachand and Ajay for questioning while a search is on to arrest Ashif.
