Woman arrested with 2 kg poppy husk

A woman suspected of drug peddling was today arrested here after police allegedly recovered two kg of poppy husk from her possession.

The woman, identified as Amarjit Kaur, is a resident of village Bhugrani.

Police said she was arrested at a check-post near Nasirabad bend of village Narur.

The arrest was made under relevant Sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act Act, police said.
