Woman, granddaughter found murdered

Neighbours informed police after they suspected something amiss in the evening hours, they said.

Police broke open the door of the house which was bolted from inside and found Angoori Devi (80) and Chitra (38) in a pool of blood.

The assailants also ripped out eyeballs of Chitra, they said, adding cause behind the murder is not yet known and further investigations into the matter are on.
