Woman, in-laws get life imprisonment for killing father
A fast-track court here today sentenced a woman and her three in-laws to life imprisonment for abducting her father with an intention to kill him.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the woman, her husband, her father in-law, and her mother in-law.
It held them guilty for kidnapping in order to murder.

According to the government lawyer, the woman and her in-laws wanted her father to transfer a piece of land to them in Nala Mubarak village in the district. He said to pressure the man, the woman and her in-laws abducted him in June 2008 with an intention to kill him.
The man's body has not been found.
