Woman injured in accidental fire

The police said, Shyamal Das, a police constable, who was the personal security officer of MLA of Nalchhar, Tapan Das was cleaning his service revolver at the in-laws' house of his father-in-law at Nalchhar village last night when a bullet came out and hit his elderly mother-in-law Arati Das.

She was admitted to a hospital, whose condition was stated to be critical.

The police seized the service revolver of the constable and transferred him to the police headquarters here.
